La sección de personalidad del informe YES! es un inventario de personalidad apropiado para la orientación vocacional que consta de seis escalas generales con múltiples subescalas.
El desarrollo de la sección de personalidad comenzó con la identificación de elementos para cada dimensión de personalidad que se pudiera imaginar y luego con la administración de un inventario de esos elementos a través de varias iteraciones a muestras grandes. El análisis factorial resultante reveló consistentemente la presencia de seis dimensiones principales de rasgos de personalidad. Los seis rasgos son autoritario, extrovertido, compasivo, consciente, aventurero y creativo. Los nombres para las dimensiones generales se basaron en el impulso general de los elementos en las dimensiones. A continuación, se eligieron adjetivos para describir ambos extremos de la dimensión. Las dimensiones comprenden un continuo de comportamientos. Por ejemplo, obediente - rango medio - autoritario, o reservado - rango medio - extrovertido. Las puntuaciones individuales se muestran en puntos de este continuo, en función de sus puntuaciones en comparación con la norma o el estándar de la población que se midió.
Las secciones de intereses, habilidades y prioridades del informe miden intereses (actividades, materias educativas, ocupaciones), habilidades/destrezas, prioridades de vida y prioridades laborales.

LEE ELLIS Former Director of Life Pathways. M.S. Counseling and Human Development, B.A. History. Seventeen years' experience as a guidance counselor for college students and adults, co-author of three books on career planning, and author of book on team building. Nine years' experience in psychometric research and development of career guidance testing materials.
JACK GIBBS Former Vice President of Life Pathways. B.B.A. Sales Engineering. Background in advertising as well as Vice President and Account Manager of a nationwide personnel recruiting firm. Former board member for several national non-profit organizations. Four years' experience in development of CD-ROM career guidance system plus a new youth survey.
